
CARISSA MACE - PRESIDENT
Carissa joined the staff of the FPFC as President in December 2007. Carissa brings solid industry experience and management expertise to the Council. She began her working career in the non-profit world after graduating from New York University in the 1980s. She worked for 10 years in New York City with the New York City Opera and the United Cerebral Palsy Organization before returning to her native Southern California in the mid- 1990s. In 1996 she joined the City of Hope which has long been a favorite charity of the FPFC and Carissa became the Director of Development for the Food Industries Circle of that organization. A year later she was hired by the FPFC as Event Coordinator and Membership Director. She stayed with the Council for five years before joining the Produce Marketing Association as Director of U.S. Business Development in 2001. Her tenure at PMA offered wide-base industry and association experience which have proved valuable in her services to the FPFC.
Carissa is very active in the industry, serving on the board of the Produce for Better Health Foundation. In 2005, she was a member of the inaugural group of “40 under 40” top industry leaders as named by Produce Business magazine. In addition, Carissa is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the California Society of Association Executives.
PAULEEN YOSHIKANE – DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Pauleen joined the staff of the Fresh Produce & Floral Council in June of 1996 as the Accounting Manager. Pauleen took on more responsibiliity for events and administrative duties over the years and in late 2001 was promoted to Director of Operations. In addition to managing the Council's accounting, Pauleen is responsible for overseeing the development, planning, coordination and implementation of events and meetings of the Council.
AMY WUN – OFFICE COORDINATOR
Amy comes to the FPFC after various office administration and accounting positions in the Pasadena and San Gabriel area. At the FPFC, Amy is the front-line representative to members and customers, answering the phone lines and general office emails. Working under the direction of the Director of Operations, Amy handles a multitude of accounts payable and receivable duties as well as administering event attendee lists and membership data.
ANGELA STEIER - EVENTS AND MARKETING CONSULTANT
Angela is a consultant to the FPFC, primarily handling marketing communications, website development and on-site event management.
Angela is a media and marketing professional with more than 18 years' experience in marketing, events, film and video production, advertising and business development across a broad range of industries and specialties. Her advertising clients have included Sport Chalet, LA Car Guy and the Catalina Island Conservancy. As a copy editor and collaborator, she has contributed to books about grassroots advocacy, independent filmmaking, American history, direct marketing and Harry Potter. Videos she has produced for City of Hope, UCLA School of Law and the American Psychological Association have been awarded a total of eight Telly Awards, a PRSA Award and a Publicity Club of Los Angeles Award.
